Imagery

Imagery: Is to use figurative language to represent objects, actions, and ideas in such a way that it appeals to our physical senses. It is used to make the text more interesting and paints an image inside their head.

Examples:
It was dark and dim in the forest.
The children were screaming and shouting in the fields.

My examples:
The prisoners were screaming and shouting inside their jail cells.

Antithesis

Antithesis: The term used to refer to an author's use of two contrasting or opposite terms in a sentence for effect. The two terms are set near each other to enhance or highlight the contrast in opposite meaning.

Antitheses are used to strengthen an argument by using either exact opposites or simply contrasting ideas, but can also include both. They typically make a sentence more memorable for the reader or listener through balance and emphasis of the words.

When he became the first man to walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong said that it was a "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

My Example:
"It was the best experience, but the worst experience."
"He was the best player in the team but also the worst player in the team."

Anaphora

Anaphora: In writing or speech, anaphora is the repetition of the first part of the sentence to create a more artistic effect.

Anaphora hooks your readers or listeners in. It draws people in because they know what's coming next and they become more interested of the point you are trying to get across.

Examples of Anaphora:
"I want my money right here, right now, all right?"
"Every day, every night, in every way, I am getting better and better."

My examples of Anaphora:
"Tell them to be good, tell them to be respectful, and tell them to follow the instructions."
