Growing NZ Innovation Project

Introduction
At the start of term 3 we did the growing NZ innovation project. Our class had to choose 2 different people that we can make a group with. There were different topics on this innovation project. The one we chose was the Irrigation Efficiency. Irrigation is used to assist the growth of crops, usually at times when there is insufficient rainfall to optimise production. Water is moved through pipes, canals, sprinkles and other man-made things. So our task was to come up with a solution that will make it more efficient.

Our solution was to create a pipe. The pipe was going to be opened by remote. This pipe basically distributes the water from underneath. It is better to spread the water under so it won't evaporate therefore we can save water.

Reflection
I enjoyed our topic and I liked what we came up with. I think we chose the perfect topic and the enablers. We also got everything done it was very organised. I enjoyed working with my group. Our presentation was quick and got straight to the point. I think my group did the best out of all the other group. I don't think we could have done any better because it was perfect.

Questions
Did you like my group's prototype?
What do you think we could have done better?
What should we have made as our solution?

  1. Hi Danne, I like the work that you produced because it has all the information that I need to know. It looks very organised and neat. I would of liked if you had put more information about your group in the reflection, but other than that it was a very good post.
